A home search in Anthem Country Club involves two separate decisions: where in the community you want to live, and whether you want to join its private club. The homeowners association (HOA) and the membership club are separate organizations. That affects both what the home costs to own and how you might spend a week here. A home can suit you for its setting and layout even if golf isn’t part of your plans.
The community is part of the wider Anthem area in southern Henderson. Three nearby places are worth getting to know: Anthem Village, the stretch of Eastern Avenue and the public facilities along Reunion Drive. Each is good for something different: groceries and takeout around Anthem Village, breakfast and more shopping along Eastern, and park or trail outings off Reunion. Farther away, South Green Valley Parkway has a library and city recreation facilities.
For a normal drive in, the club’s driving directions use Anthem Parkway and Anthem Club Drive. Club Side Drive leads to the clubhouse and fitness complex. The residential streets spread out from there, so know the neighborhood name when you set up a viewing. The neighborhood also explains why the start of a grocery run can differ between two homes with the same community name.
Decide how the club fits into your week
The club offers Social and Golf memberships to residents and non-residents. Social membership covers things such as fitness, swimming, racquet sports and dining; Golf membership adds the golf course and practice facilities. The club also lists a National Golf membership for people who live outside the greater Las Vegas area. If this would be your second home, ask the club whether you qualify.
So there’s more than one way to live here. Tennis or the gym might be your regular outing, your week might revolve around golf, or you might use nearby public facilities instead. Sun City Anthem’s recreation centers belong to a separate community with its own access rules. Despite the shared Anthem name, buying here doesn’t give you use of them.

Custom neighborhoods and the residential loop
Anthem Country Club has several named neighborhoods, and each deserves a closer look than one description of the whole community allows. The HOA’s landscape planning materials list Anthem Pointe, Bloomfield Hills and Eagle Brook under a “Custom Neighborhood Entry Renderings” heading. The same materials list Estela and La Cantera under a separate neighborhood-entry heading. These names are a good way to organize a tour. They don’t mean the houses in a neighborhood share one floor plan, build date or view.
Anthem Pointe is in the west-central part of the community, while Anthem Creek Circle lies farther southwest. On the north side of the community, the HOA’s published emergency evacuation plan names Plum Hollow, Willow Knolls, Isleworth, Desert Highlands and Contra Costa/Auburn. The same plan uses two pairs of neighborhood names to identify locations on the loop: West Laurel Green with Grandview, and East Laurel Green with Estela. Seeing homes in several of these neighborhoods gives you a fuller picture than judging the whole community from one street.
If your tour includes Anthem Pointe and Estela, sort the shortlist by the home itself, not only by neighborhood. The “custom neighborhood” label says something about Anthem Pointe’s setting, but it won’t tell you the builder or floor plan of either home. Get those details for each home you compare.
The outlook and the route are part of the home
Living beside the golf course and playing on it are separate questions. If a home faces the course, check the view from the rooms and outdoor spaces you would actually use. A fairway view doesn’t give you permission to walk onto the course, and a club photo in the listing doesn’t mean membership comes with the home. The view belongs to that particular home; the right to play is a separate arrangement.
Where the home sits on the loop matters too. A street on the north side can look close to Reunion Drive on a map, but the northern gates the HOA identifies are crash gates: emergency-access gates for evacuation. They aren’t a way in for visitors or an everyday shortcut. So when you compare homes, compare the route you’re allowed to use in and out, along with the layout and setting.

Groceries, coffee and a parcel in Anthem Village
The Vons at 2511 Anthem Village is a handy stop for everyday shopping. This branch offers grocery pickup, a pharmacy and a Starbucks inside the store, so coffee can be part of the grocery stop instead of a separate trip. It’s a practical choice when you need to stock up and keep moving.
The UPS Store at 2505 Anthem Village Drive, Suite E says it is in the Vons center. Its shipping, printing and shredding give you more reasons to do several chores in one trip. If a parcel has to go out that day, check the pickup cutoff; it isn’t the same as the store’s closing time. The stops pair well, but don’t count on one parking space for all of them.
North along Eastern, Smith’s at Horizon Marketplace, 10616 South Eastern Avenue, offers another grocery-pickup option and a Murray’s Cheese counter. Go there when specialty cheese is on the list or another errand already takes you along Eastern. Let the rest of your day decide which store you use; the nearby supermarkets aren’t interchangeable.
A seated breakfast or something to bring home
CRAFT Kitchen, at 10940 South Eastern Avenue, is a different kind of morning from coffee in a grocery store. With breakfast, lunch, coffee and a changing choice of pastries, it’s a place to sit down for a meal. It has both a same-day waitlist and reservations; for a planned get-together, follow the restaurant’s booking advice. On a relaxed day of viewings, a meal here is also a way to see the Eastern and Sunridge side of the area.
Back in Anthem Village, Showboy Bakeshop handles a spur-of-the-moment treat and a celebration order differently. Cupcakes are a walk-in stop; a custom cake needs an agreed design, booking ahead and an open date on the bakery’s schedule. Know which you need before planning a party at home, especially if the cake has to match a theme.
For lunch or dinner to bring back through the gate, Rebellion Pizza’s Anthem ordering page is where to order from this branch. The menu has New York-style pizzas and rectangular Sicilian ones, so pick the style first instead of treating every pizza as the same. The Anthem shop is at 2540 Anthem Village Drive. The company also has a Centennial location, so order through the Anthem page for a pickup nearby.
Nearby Mahanakon Thai, at 2550 Anthem Village Drive, adds another kind of meal to the same group of shops. Its weekday lunch plates come with a salad and crispy roll, and the full menu has chef’s dishes such as soft-shell crab panang. A set lunch plate and a selection of dishes to share at dinner are two different reasons to come back to the center. Together, the bakery, the pizza and the Thai food let an Anthem Village trip cover more than the grocery list, without a drive across the valley for a meal.
Private recreation at Club Side Drive
The fitness complex is at 2 Club Side Drive; the clubhouse has its own address, 1 Club Side Drive. The club advertises fitness classes and a seasonal swimming pool, and its racquet program offers tennis, pickleball, lessons and clinics. These are for members, and each has its own schedule and rules for taking part. A seasonal pool is also different from a city-run indoor pool open all year.
The club’s dining rooms and café are part of the private club too. If dining matters to you, ask about the rooms and services you’d use when you discuss membership, along with the clubhouse work covered in the buying checklist below. Anthem Village’s restaurants are the other option, no membership needed.
Choose the park by the outing
Anthem Hills Park, at 2256 North Reunion Drive, has a playground, skate facilities, roller hockey and access to the Anthem East trail system. It works for a quick park visit or as the start of a longer outing. For organized soccer, SNSA’s park directions separate the main lot from the parking for the basin fields. Joining a team takes registration and a team assignment; using the public park doesn’t.
There’s more than one walk from this trailhead. The Bureau of Land Management’s trail handout shows short paved stretches at the ends of Anthem East, and separately the McCullough Hills route, which it describes as eight miles one way. Those are very different outings. Pick the route by name and decide where to turn around before you leave the park; don’t follow a loose “Anthem trail” label and expect pavement the whole way.
Other public parks cover particular needs. Sunridge Park, at 1010 Sandy Ridge Avenue, has public tennis outside the club. Horizon Crest Park, at 675 Annet Street, has a designated dog area. Each is useful for a particular activity; you don’t need to visit them all.
A library visit can pair with public indoor recreation
A visit to Paseo Verde Library, at 280 South Green Valley Parkway, is a separate trip from the Anthem Village errands. Besides borrowing, it has reading space and Zoom Rooms. For a quick stop, curbside holds pickup lets you collect items you’ve put on hold from marked spaces out front once they’re ready. Using a room or going to a program takes longer than picking up books you’ve already chosen.
The library’s Reading with Rover program pairs children in grades one through five with therapy dogs for reading aloud. It isn’t a drop-in storytime: you apply, and sessions are scheduled. Apply before the library trip and make sure your child has a session; seeing it on the calendar doesn’t hold a spot.
The Henderson Multigenerational Center, at 250 South Green Valley Parkway, gives you a reason to add public recreation to that library trip. It has an indoor track and fitness spaces, and its aquatic complex has a year-round indoor pool. Check admission, classes and pool sessions separately. Unlike a seasonal outdoor pool, it’s open all year. Before a visit, check the city’s current facility notices.
Look up the school, then plan care and daily trips
Use the zoning and address lookup from CCSD, the Clark County School District, for the exact home and the school year you need. Two addresses on the western side of Anthem Country Club came back with Frank Lamping Elementary, Del E. Webb Middle and Coronado High for 2026–2027. Those are only examples from the western side; they don’t tell you the schools for the northern or eastern sections, or for another year. Look up the home’s own result before you plan a school visit.
At Lamping Elementary, drop-off and pickup are organized by grade group and gate, so a family picking up siblings may need a plan. Webb’s visitor guidance asks visitors to check in at the office, show ID and wear a visitor badge. Allow for that when you have an appointment at the school, not just a normal pickup.
The city’s youth programs include Safekey, the before- and after-school care on school days, and separate programs for days when school is out, such as Battle Born Kids. Register for care separately, choosing the site and a session with space. Getting into the school doesn’t hold you a care spot; ask the program for the exact Safekey hours at Lamping.
For commutes, airport trips or regular appointments elsewhere in the valley, start from the home and the approved exit you’d normally use. Look first at Anthem Parkway and the routes along Eastern or Green Valley; where you’re headed decides the rest. If those trips matter to you, try a typical errand and a school-day departure when you view the home. No single travel time for the whole community can replace the drive from your own driveway.

Put the home, membership and access terms in writing.
Separate the ownership costs from the club decision.
Ask for the exact home’s current HOA documents, its assessments (the charges owners pay the HOA) and who maintains what. If you plan to join the club, also get its current membership terms. Keep the cost of joining, the ongoing club charges and any transfer terms separate from what you’ll owe the HOA. Don’t assume the seller’s membership comes with the house; ask.
When you try out a payment in the mortgage calculator, add that home’s own tax, insurance and upkeep figures. A market report for the whole ZIP code shows the wider market, but it can’t price one custom home or tell you what it costs to own. Compare similar homes and the actual costs you would take on.
Plan guests, deliveries and work at the property.
The HOA’s security guidance requires visitors to show ID, and its gate policy says guests and vendors must be authorized in advance. Book viewings through the showing agent, and find out how you would let visitors in once you live there.
